The Italian Greyhound is meant for a quiet apartment or home. She does not do well with loud, rough children as her bones can be brittle as a puppy and she is delicate in both body and mind. She is a good watch dog and loves her family. She can do well with other respectful dogs and animals, especially if she is socialized with them at an early age. If she is housed with other dogs, be aware that they should not be large dogs. She is a climber and may even climb out of a fenced enclosure. Keep her controlled when outside as she can run very fast and can be about impossible to catch if she does not want to be.
*Approximate Adult Size. The approximate adult size (two years old or older) of the Italian Greyhound is 12 to 15 inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and 6 to 10 pounds. There is a under 8 pound class and an over 8 pound class.
*Special Health Considerations. Most dog breeds have certain inherited health problems associated with that specific breed and the Italian Greyhound is no exception. Although they are a healthy breed, be on the look out for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (inherited disease of the retina that can cause vision loss and blindness), slipped stifle and epilepsy (common in dogs). Additionally, Italian Greyhound puppies under eighteen months old are prone to broken legs due to fragile developing bones. This disease list is an informative guideline only. Other diseases may also be significant threats, please contact your veterinarian for a complete list.
She should visit the veterinarian several times in the first year for shots, boosters and check up. Then, as an adult, she should visit the veterinarian yearly for shots and check up. As she gets older, six years and on, she should visit the veterinarian twice a year for check ups and shots. Remember; avoid feeding your dog sweets.
*Grooming. The Italian Greyhound has a short, fine coat that is like satin to the touch. She just needs an occasional rub down with a soft cloth. When she needs a rare bath, be sure that she is dried properly and kept warm.
Her teeth should be brushed at least twice a week with toothpaste and toothbrush designed for dogs. Brushing removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar which can cause cavities (rarely) and periodontal disease. Dog periodontal disease can lead to pain, loss of teeth, bad breath and other serious disease.
Her toenails may need to be examined for growth and clipped regularly. The toenails of the rear feet grow slower than the toenails of the front feet. Generally a guillotine type trimmer is the best for this chore and competent instructions to accomplish this can be found on the net.
*Life Span. The Italian Greyhound can live between 14 and 16 years with proper nutrition, medical care and excellent living conditions.
*History. The Italian Greyhound comes from Italy. They are a small sight hound and were bred as pets. They were first registered by the American Kennel Association in 1886.

Quick And Easy Bonding
The fear of pain is to blame for fifty one percent of the population refusing to get dental care. For eighty percent of the people who get dental treatments, they know why it is necessary but do not favor getting the help.
Later on, when aesthetic or cosmetic dentistry that requires no drilling becomes more commonplace, people may change their minds. Dentists already have increased their popularity, it had nowhere to go but up, by giving people a new smile on life.
What can be used to fill in unsightly gaps and cover breaks, cracks, and discolorations are composite plastic resins which look and feel like tooth enamel and could easily be painted and sculpted. Referred to as bonding, it is because the resin adheres directly to the tooth and usually it is applied to the front teeth.
What is not needed here is a retention trench which usually calls for some drilling. Less expensive than a crown and easy to complete is the painless bonding process but if work is performed close to the gums an anesthetic may be used.
Aside from bonding better, newly developed composites also have a wider range of shades which makes it easier for existing teeth to be matched with the new restorative materials. During the bonding procedure, a mild etching solution is applied to the teeth temporarily to create micropores, tiny crevices in the enamel structure.
It only takes seconds for the resin to bond onto teeth enamel after an intense light hardens it. A final coat is applied and then the resin can be shaped and polished.
Considering cosmetic dentistry, it is a form of art for gaps can be filled without making it appear that the tooth has been enlarged. In this case women's coats , the teeth has been widened but in order to make it appear as if no changes were made except the filling up of the gap the angles of the teeth are altered also to affect the way the light shines into an observer's eye.
If the technique does fail, the bonding can be removed and then replaced without causing harm to the teeth. It is possible for it to remineralize within 24 hours for only a small amount of enamel is removed by the etching solution.
When it comes to defective enamel, this can cause problems for people wherein the bonding fails during the first few days. Taking into consideration that bonding is not a panacea, there are times when other forms of restorative work are advised. A crown is advised when the structural integrity of the tooth has been compromised.
With people worrying about their front teeth all the time, dentists are worried that as bonding becomes more popular the people will start to disregard their back teeth regardless of how beneficial cosmetic dentistry has been. Crowning is more expensive than bonding.
The difference is that crowing is a permanent solution. It is necessary for the process to be repeated anywhere from three to five years after the resin has been applied because discoloration and flaking may begin to occur.
Aside from the smokers, those who regularly drink coffee are susceptible to staining. When it comes to bonding on the back teeth, the process is in its infancy stage and with further improvements can reduce the need for drilling and can be a replacement for silver fillings. The dentin is a substance beneath the enamel that makes up the body of the tooth and resin is directly applied to it after the dentist scrapes off the decayed area using a hand tool.
Bonding is effective on back teeth as a sealant to correct pits and grooves in the enamel, defects, if left untreated might invite tooth decay. Apart from having more adults retaining their teeth, thirty seven percent of children nowadays have never had a cavity according to the Academy of General Dentistry. Even if it seems practical now, it can lead to looming expenses later on.
What Causes Bad Breath: How To Cure Halitosis
If you want to know what causes bad breath and how to cure halitosis, you first have to find out what causes it. It is difficult to cure a condition if you do not know what the cause it, but luckily the cause of bad breath is known. There might well be an argument about what the root cause is, but generally it is known to be caused by oral bacteria.
Sure, what you eat can cause incidental bad breath, but it is not halitosis. Thus, if you eat garlic then many will find your breath offensive, but only if you have not eaten garlic yourself. That is possibly why so many French eat garlic ?€" because so many others do and that is their way of not smelling the rest! True halitosis, however, can not be ?€?cured?€? that way.
Many believe bad teeth to be the true cause of halitosis, but that too is incorrect. Again, bad teeth can contribute, but teeth rot due to the action of oral bacteria on the food debris in and around the gums and teeth. This bacterial action generates acid that attack the enamel of the teeth and cause dental caries. That in itself however does not cause bad breath.
Bad breath can be caused by various digestive problems, by problems with the oesophagus and by infections of the sinus, airway and throat. However, 90% to 95% of halitosis is caused by problems in the oral cavity or the mouth. Bad breath is more than just bad teeth that can be resolved by dental treatment, and needs more basic treatment than that.
The chemicals that cause the smell are commonly called VSCs, or volatile sulfur compounds. The main VSCs are hydrogen sulfide, the smelly gas that every schoolchild knows about, dimethyl sulfide and methyl mercaptan. These a fashion jackets re formed in the fissures and cracks in the tongue, the cheeks and between the gums and the teeth where there is a lack of oxygen. The VSCs are emitted by a particular type of bacteria known as anaerobic bacteria that survive in the absence of oxygen. Expose them to oxygen and they cannot function.
These bacteria are not particularly bad: in fact they live in everybody?€?s mouths. It is their action in digesting proteins that release the VSCs and hence the horrible smells. If you are not sure if your breath is bad or not, then clean the inside of your wrist then lick it. Allow the saliva to partially dry so that it becomes concentrated and then smell. The inside of your wrist is warm and will evaporate off the VSCs that you can smell.
However, the route to the cure is the cause. Anaerobic bacteria and food residues. If you keep your mouth clean from protein residues then you can reduce the source of food for these bacteria. Vegetarians will be less liable to suffer from halitosis than meat eaters will, although vegetable protein can also be broken down by the bacteria if allowed to accumulate in the mouth so nobody is completely immune.
The key is the fact that the bacteria are anaerobic. Expose them to oxygen and you either kill them or they stop all activity. If you brush the gums, tongue and cheeks with a soft brush and an oxygenated cleaner, then you will get rid of your bad breath. Use an oxygenated mouthwash and you will also help to pacify or kill these bacteria. You have to get the oxygen right down into the fissures between the papillae of your tongue, and the cracks in your cheeks, and also deep into the space between your teeth and gums.
Use a tongue scraper to coat your tongue with a paste that generates oxygen, then scrape it off. Use the mouthwash regularly, and before you know it, your halitosis and bad breath will be gone. I know, because I suffered. However, people no longer take a step back when I speak to them face to face. I no longer have to talk sideways and put my career in jeopardy because I cannot eyeball people when I speak to them.
If you have bad breath then the same will have happened to you, whether you noticed it or not. People will avoid coming close to you when you speak to them and you will only ever kiss the same girl once. Learn what causes bad breath and how to cure it. Don?€?t suffer any longer, but more importantly, don?€?t make others suffer when you speak to them. There is no need because there is a cure.
If you are looking for more information on how to cure halitosis and get rid of bad breath, check our Pete?€?s website Welsh Health Systems where he will explain the causes in more detail and inform you how to cure your problem.
Simple Ways to Revitalize Your Bathroom With Wood Medicine Cabinets
A medicine cabinet may not seem like the focal point of a bathroom, but this one item can change the entire the look and feel of the room. The medicine cabinet is usually the only fixture positioned at eye level in this small room, meaning that it is normally the first place our eye goes in the room.

In a 2x4 wall, for example, recessed styles get fairly narrow making it difficult for wider bottles to fit on the shelves.
A hybrid between the two is a little more difficult to find, however it is a far better option for 2x4 walls. This system sits between the studs, but it sits out from the wall by a couple of inches. Learn How To Give Your Cat A bath
Have you ever considered giving your cat a bath? Your dog and cat both require a certain amount of maintenance to keep them happy and healthy. While most cats are self-sufficient, all cats could use a little boost in the bathing department.
When it comes to cat care, very few cat owners think to give their cat a bath. A bath can help get rid of excess fur during the shedding season.
You could take your cat to the veterinarian or a professional groomer and have them give your cat a bath, but giving your cat a bath on your own isn't all that difficult. As long as you have patience and take things slowly, the two of you can get through the ordeal in one piece.
Before you think of bathing, give your cat a good brushing. Use a soft brush or grooming glove for short haired felines. For cats with longer fur, use a wide-toothed comb. Don't brush too hard. Cats don't have very thick skin like their wild cousins, the big cats.
Brush out any tangles and check the cat over for any sores or abscesses. Clean the cat's ears and trim its nails. If your cat starts to get a little antsy, take everything in stages. Start with one task, then put the cat down and come back to the next task later.
While your cat is off wandering the house and working off stress, you can get the bath ready. Make sure you have a soft towel and shampoos made for your cat at hand. Remember that your cat will be licking himself after the wash, and some soaps might have a residue that could make your cat sick if ingested.
If you can, use your kitchen sink as a tub. The sink is much easier to work with than trying to bend over a tub. Place a towel in the bottom of the sink as a mat to keep your cat from slipping. The most important thing is to give your cat a bath in a warm room so that afterwards, he'll have a warm place to dry off.
When you're ready to bathe your cat, put cotton balls in its ears to help keep the water out. Run some lukewarm water into the sink, but don't fill the sink all the way. You might want to fill the sink first, since the sound of the rushing water could make your cat nervous, especially if he knows what's coming.
Try not to restrain your cat too much either. If the cat feels like it's being trapped, you'll have a harder time holding it through th women's jackets is cat care process.
Keep talking to the cat calmly and reassuringly. Don't yell or try to scold him if he decides not to cooperate. If you're nervous, your cat will be nervous, too. Hissing, flattened ears and yowling are all signs that you have a very stressed kitty on your hands.
To wet the coat, pour water over your cat. You can also take a thin towel, wrap it around your cat, and wet its fur through the towel. Once the fur is wet, apply shampoo, and then rinse well. When you rinse your cat, try to avoid using the spray nozzle. If your cat didn't like the sound of running water, the hiss of the spray won't be calming at all.
Make sure that you get all the shampoo out of its fur. When you're done rinsing, dry your cat by blotting instead of scrubbing. Blotting long fur is far more effective than rubbing the towel over the cat's body.
If your cat will tolerate the noise from this cat care routine, you can use a hair dryer on the lowest setting. If you can't use the dryer, that's okay. Dry your cat as much as you can and let it go find a warm place to dry off.
The best advice for bathing a cat is to start while the cat is young so that they become familiar with this form of cat care. If you get your cat used to bathing early in life and make the first experience as enjoyable as you can, your cat will be more cooperative in the future.

Menopause does not generally become a life threatening condition. However, symptoms such as rapid heart beat can make one very nervous that something serious is going on. Facial hair growth or thinning hair are common symptoms in women during this time of life, which can be embarrassing at best.
Other common symptoms associated with woman menopause are hot flashes, night sweats, disturbed sleep and a decreased ability to think clearly. The length of time that a woman can experience these or related symptoms can be as varied as the types of symptoms each woman may have. Women should carefully assess if their need for treatment is necessary, depending on how mild or how severe their symptoms are.
At some point in life as a woman ages, it is normal that her reproductive cycle slows and eventually ceases functioning. Another common concern can be that since a menopausal woman will no longer be able to have children, she may not be as interested in her sexual health. However, one does not have to accept a decreased sex life just because menstrual periods have ceased.

Choosing The Right Suit & Necktie For A Wedding
Every man should have at least one good suit. Most people today work in an office environment where the dress code is casual and they do not see a reason for a suit. But when you get an invitation for a wedding, you are going to want to show up dressed for the occasion. There are only two exceptions when you will not need a suit for a wedding - one is if the occasion calls for a black tie affair and the other is if you are the groom.
Choosing the Right Material
The type of material that you choose for your suit depends on the season. For the colder weather, a wool suit is best. For warmer weather, you may opt for a cotton or silk suit. Silk suits are always in style and are considered to be the top echelon when it comes to mens suits. You may also choose synthetic materials for your suit, depending on your budget. For warmer weather, you want lighter material. For colder weather, be sure to choose a warmer, wool material.
Choosing the Right Color
Darker is better when you are choosing a suit for a wedding. Not only do darker suits look more formal but they are also more appropriate for other occasions. There are several occasions when you may need to wear a suit, and one of these is attending a wedding. The others include funerals and job interviews. Since a darker color is more sober for the other two occasions, it is best to choose a dark gray or even a black suit when you go to a wedding.
Another reason for choosing a dark colored suit, especially gray, is that unlike other colors, it is not likely to go out of style. Mens clothes retain their style longer than womens clothes and you are likely to be able to keep wearing this suit and still manage to stay in style for many years.
Quality Counts
When you are choosing a suit to go to a wedding, you are better off choosing a quality suit rather than a cheaply made suit. Since you are likely to wear the suit more than once, you will want it to last. And if you choose wisely with regard to c women's jackets olor and material, you are likely to keep your suit for some time to come. So it makes sense to spend a few extra dollars and get a quality suit.
How to Get the Suit Fitted
When you purchase a suit, you will have to get it fitted to your frame. Most stores that sell suits will offer this service. If not, then you can take the suit to the tailor to make sure it is fitted to your body. An ill fitted suit does not look good on anyone, so make sure that your suit fits you well.
You can also choose to let out or take in a suit that you already own if you are looking for a suit for a wedding.
What is a Black Tie?
If you are invited to a black tie affair, this is a formal occasion that requires a tuxedo, and not a suit. This does not mean that you just put on a black tie to your suit. A black tie affair is formal and requires you either wearing your own tuxedo, if you own one, or renting a tuxedo. Most men today do not own tuxedoes and rent them on these occasions, which is really a good alternative if you are not likely to be wearing a tux very often.
